Je Ne Sais Pas.

Beret - charity shop
Dress - Topshop
Socks - George at Asda
Shoes - New Look

As I write this, Storm Doris is maintaining a breezy tempest outside my window. Such a quaint name for something so fierce! There's something rather comforting about being bundled up in a duvet whilst, beyond the glass and brick, the weather is acting less than friendly. Spring dressing has not quite arrived, but I'm not going to complain.

This outfit is the epitome of sixties style, with more than a hint of preppy French girl. Fashion is all about mixing textures. In this look: a wool beret, a velvet dress and patent boots. The dress and shoes were both on sale at £16 and £14 respectively, and if you're looking for a beret, scout around local charity shops first. Mine was a fraction of the price identical ones on the high street were selling for, at £1.50.

This dress has become a go-to in a sometimes chilly, sometimes mild, February. For simple everyday, black tights look just as good and have the added bonus of staying up unaided. I admit I prefer not having to keep readjusting the height of my socks!
